The stresses of everyday life are forgotten. The new Alpstein cable car takes you 1600 metres above sea level to Alp Sigel with its well-known and unique alpine flora, alpine huts, grazing cows and hiking routes. Use the short trip up the mountain as a start to a pleasant hike – or stay and enjoy the peace and quiet and the marvellous views over the Appenzellerland as far as Lake Constance.

School parties and clubs are transported subject to prior booking and at reduced tariffs when the cable car is manned. (No reservations possible on weekends)
In good weather the cable car is manned; at other times you operate it yourself.
Open continuously from 1 May to 31 Oct from 8.00 am – 6.00 pm.
